Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Simon Chelugui, EGH made his inaugural visit to New KCC on Thursday, 24th November 2022 where he was received by New KCC Board Chairman Mr. Anthony Njoroge and New KCC MD, Mr. Nixon Sigey, EBS.

While visiting the Head Office and the modernized Dandora Factory Complex as part of his familiarization exercise with State Agencies under his docket, the CS received a comprehensive update on the nearly completed modernization exercise to upgrade our processing facilities across the country, and the resulting benefits including increased efficiency and processing capacities, increased farmer payouts and product diversification among others.

In addition, the CS held discussions with the New KCC Team on areas for partnership with the National Government through the Ministry of Cooperatives & MSME (s) to support and grow the dairy sector including support for dairy farmers through availing access to affordable feeds to help lower cost of production and address trade challenges to create a more favorable market for our dairy products in the region.

The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by Principal Secretary nominees – Mr. Patrick Kilemi (Cooperatives) and Ms. Susan Mangeni (MSMEs).
