New KCC Nyambene milk plant set to begin operations

Over the weekend, Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Peter Munya inspected the soon to be fully operationalized New KCC’s Nyambene Milk Plant and Sales Depot.  Already, the facility has begun receiving milk from farmers marking the completion of Phase I of the project, and the second phase of the project that will see facility begin to pasteurize milk is underway and remains on schedule. The CS also used the opportunity to meet with local dairy farmers, as he also presented various farmers groups with AI cylinder containers donated by New KCC as part of its efforts to support and continue to grow dairy farming in the area.  The CS was accompanied by New KCC Chairman, Dr. Ignatius Kahiu, New KCC MD, Mr. Nixon Sigey, MBS, EGW and Board Director David Baariu
